This home was designed for a large family with the intention to accommodate multi-generational get togethers. All five bedrooms have a view to the sea (even the bedroom on the backside of the house) as well as large balconies. The split level separates sleep and common areas with a secondary office/lounge on the bedroom level that overlooks the great room (kitchen/dining/living). There is a large ground level lanai area, designed to create a cool covered alternative living space with a bar/kitchen area, built-in lounges and game tables adjacent to the pool that overlooks the ocean. The overall design not only makes the most of the site, it references shapes and natural forms of the area. The building components chosen were local sustainable materials and extra care was made to consider weather and security issues.
